Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of NSW in Political Science & French as well as a Master of International & Public Affairs from Columbia University, New York. He spent eight years working in business development and conference planning for not-for-profit organisations in the United States & Hong Kong. On returning to Sydney, he owned and operated the independent Lindfield Bookshop & Children’s Bookshop for over 20 years, organising and moderating author & literary programs. Scott is now the Community Engagement Manager at Qtopia Sydney, the largest Centre for Queer history and culture in the world. Passionate about books, history and genealogy, Scott keeps busy regularly hosting trivia evenings, moderating author ‘in conversation’ programs, and lecturing to groups on various history topics.
