Dr Simon Holloway is the Manager of Community and Corporate Programs at the Melbourne Holocaust Museum. He has a passion for teaching, and a deep commitment to the preservation of the legacy of Australia’s Holocaust survivors. Prior to moving to Melbourne, Simon served as a sessional academic at the University of Sydney and as an Education Officer at the Sydney Jewish Museum (SJM). At the SJM, Simon delivered seminars on Nazi racial hygiene, Jewish resistance and the history of the Holocaust. At the University of Sydney, Simon taught Hebrew poetry, Biblical apocalyptic and Roman Palestine in the First Century. Simon holds a PhD in Classical Hebrew and Biblical Studies, for which he received an Australian Postgraduate Award.
