Dr Daniel Haumschild is the Head of Exhibitions and Storytelling MHM. Dan relocated from the United States in 2024 where he had established himself as a renowned educator both in the university and nonprofit sector. He continues his practice as a professor of Genocide Studies at Yeshiva University in New York, where his academic focus centres on the relationship between learning and politics in the aftermath of atrocity. He teaches courses in genocide studies, literature and the Holocaust, and teaching methods related to Holocaust and genocide education. His academic interest dovetails naturally with his most recent professional chapter, which centres itself on experience design. Before arriving at MHM, Dan was a content developer for the Melbourne-based design firm Art Processors where he contributed his unique voice to multiple cultural institutions around Australia, helping in the development of learning environments, exhibits, and experiences.
